Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive individual with strong observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 730-1130am / 1230-430pm
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure security measures are in place.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide first aid and CPR as necessary in emergency situations.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately in reports.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies.
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in security training or related fields is an advantage.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and alarm systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is beneficial.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Military experience is a plus but not required; candidates with a background in law enforcement will be considered favorably.
