Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing care in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in intraoperative cardiovascular procedures, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex surgical cases within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare team, delivering specialized patient care across diverse cardiac and vascular surgeries. The Travel CVOR RN will ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintain sterile techniques, and support patient recovery through expert nursing practices.
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repairs, and vascular procedures.
- Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms with appropriate instrumentation, ensuring aseptic technique, and managing sterile supplies efficiently.
- Monitor patient vital signs, anesthesia levels, and physiological responses throughout surgical procedures, promptly addressing any deviations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support preoperative assessments and postoperative recovery processes, including pain management and patient education.
- Demonstrate expertise in advanced skills such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, and ventilator management in the intraoperative setting.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety standards to minimize risks during complex cardiovascular interventions.
Requirements
- Must possess current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
- Minimum of 1 year of vascular experience
- Minimum of 1 recent year of CVOR experience and 2 years of RN experience
- Experience in vascular procedures within a CVOR setting
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (AM3 shift)
- Availability for weekend and holiday call only
- Compact or Tennessee license required

Pay: $2,246.20 - $3,034.52 per week
