Body Shop Parts Coordinator
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Body Shop Parts Coordinator to join our collision center team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the parts process, including ordering, receiving, tracking, invoicing, deliveries, and returns. This role is essential to ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, supporting an efficient repair process and seamless workflow between technicians, estimators, vendors, management, and customers.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to accuracy. Working closely with the collision center team, the Body Shop Parts Coordinator plays a key role in minimizing repair delays while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities
- Order parts accurately based on repair estimates.
- Verify all received parts for accuracy and inspect for damage.
- Perform mirror matching on all parts to ensure correct fit and application before repairs begin.
- Label, organize, and stage parts for technicians.
- Process returns for incorrect, damaged, or unused parts and obtain appropriate credits.
- Maintain an organized parts inventory and storage area.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Work closely with estimators, technicians, and management to minimize repair delays.
- Monitor backordered parts and communicate status updates to the collision center team.
- Process vendor invoices and maintain accurate parts records.
- Ensure all parts invoices are posted accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive parts or collision repair experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, collision repair procedures, and OEM parts ordering.
- Experience with parts mirror matching and quality control is preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient computer and telephone skills are required.
- Experience using CCC ONE and Mitchell estimating software is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
