Duties
- Supervise and engage children during play, learning activities, and daily routines to promote development and safety
- Assist with classroom management by organizing materials, setting up activities, and maintaining a clean, organized environment
- Support teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on childhood development, including preschool and toddler care
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children’s progress, behavior, and daily updates to foster strong relationships
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly and appropriately
- Administer basic first aid and pediatric first aid when necessary to ensure children’s health and safety
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions among children
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles
- Knowledge of child supervision techniques and classroom management strategies
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid to ensure preparedness for emergencies
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare environment
- Ability to follow early childhood education best practices and adhere to safety regulations including mandated reporting laws
- Experience with infant care, toddler care, or nannying is a plus for supporting diverse age groups

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
