Job Title: Director of Operations

Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations to ensure tasks are assigned, progressed, verified, and communicated efficiently without requiring additional oversight.
Oversee the flow of daily activities, identifying priorities and addressing potential delays proactively.
Assign ownership for each task with clear responsibilities, deadlines, and follow-up actions. Ensure route coverage by managing call-outs, missed stops, crew gaps, and recovery plans effectively.
Follow through on all tasks until completion is confirmed through appropriate documentation such as photos or notes.
Communicate early and clearly with employees, customers, vendors, and leadership regarding operational updates or issues.
Maintain quality standards while protecting profitability by minimizing callbacks, wasted labor, overtime, and missed billing opportunities.
Escalate significant issues to leadership only when necessary for executive decision-making.
Reassign crews and tasks as needed, adjust routes accordingly, request information or proof of work completed, coordinate with vendors, and enforce procedures within authorized guidelines.
Lead a success-oriented team by managing personnel effectively, resolving conflicts promptly, and ensuring high levels of communication and supervision.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management or related fields.
Landscaping experience required.
Proven skills in project management, leadership, logistics, and team coordination.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across departments.
Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Knowledge of QuickBooks, Jobber, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
