Role Summary:
The Dispatcher will act as a communication point for all purchase orders that come in via email or phone. This candidate will coordinate requests, transmit messages and track vehicles and provide ETA when necessary. This individual must be extremely detail oriented, ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information to other employees as well as customers.
This position is for the night shift.
Role Priorities / Responsibilities:
- Answer customer emails and/or calls and dispatch customer requests for product or service delivery
- Document all calls in a log or email immediately after communication with customers
- Coordinate with supervisor to allocate, schedule, and assign jobs to the workforce
- Enter data into computer system and keep dispatch records/logs and status reports
- Coordinate with billing personnel
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Plans and organizes appropriate work time and resource requirements
- Monitor the route and status of delivery units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
- Copy/Release orders for refills
- Communicate all issues to appropriate departments
- Coordinate with lab to pull samples on all outgoing loads
- Check shipping papers for accuracy
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize customer emails and calls according to urgency and importance
- Preferred experience and understanding of trucking and/ or oilfield environment
- Ability to Multitask - dispatchers often are moving a lot of people around at the same time
- Ability to take appropriate action with little supervision
- Results oriented and driven to complete customer jobs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Proficient computer and telephone skills
Pay Structure:
- $17-$20 per hour (depending on experience)
