Description:
Controls Installation Technician
Duties include but not limited to:

Layout and install electrical and pneumatic control systems for custom machines and tooling

Inspect and verify function of control systems
-
Coordinate with supervisor and team to ensure job schedule is maintained

Assist in mechanical assembly of machines and tooling
-
Assist in machine and tooling integration
-
Assist in preparing machines and tooling for shipment
-
Work with supervisor and team on various continuous improvement initiatives
-
Maintain clean and orderly workspace
Requirements:
Skills & Requirements:
-
Ability to operate basic shop equipment: metal band saw, hand drill, drill press, grinder, MIG welder, fork truck, ladder, scissor lift, etc.

Familiar with personal computers, Windows 7, MS Excel, MS Word, etc.

Ability to read and follow electrical and pneumatic diagrams

Knowledge of control components and hardware: various pneumatic fittings, air line, conduit, J-boxes, PLC, relays, safety relays, light curtains, user interface panels, prox. switches, reed switches, etc.

Basic MIG welding skills

Ability to communicate well with customers, team members, management, etc.

Ability and willingness to travel

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Automation Technology or equivalent
