Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, and linens
- Maintain cleanliness of event spaces by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and removing trash promptly
- Perform detailed floor care tasks such as polishing and buffing to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for guests
- Support janitorial duties across hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, and lobbies, ensuring a pristine environment
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, utilizing appropriate equipment to maintain high standards of hygiene
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to ensure all areas meet cleanliness and safety protocols before and after events
- Respond swiftly to spillages or messes during events to minimize hazards and uphold guest comfort
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work or janitorial services within hospitality or hotel environments
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and buffing
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies used in large-scale cleaning operations
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings
- Prior experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated reliability with a positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards in busy environments
