Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer specializing in CNC machining and tooling to support customer integration, application development, and process optimization for complex part production. The role focuses on CNC programming, tooling selection and validation, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver repeatable, high-quality machining solutions. The ideal candidate combines hands-on machining experience with strong CAD/CAM and problem-solving skills to translate customer requirements into efficient, manufacturable processes.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs and machining processes

Support production teams with process improvements and technical expertise

Improve tooling strategies, cycle times, and overall manufacturing efficiency

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to meet production goals

Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards and customer requirements
Qualifications
-
BS/BA or AAS/AS in Technical Discipline Preferred but not required

7 + years of machine shop experience with CNC Mills, Lathes, and/or Grinding

5+ years of CNC programming experience

Strong Siemens NX experience (Version 1926+) with recent hands-on use

Experience with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing process development

Knowledge of cutting tools and machining super alloys

FANUC and Okuma controls experience preferred

VERICUT experience preferred

Experience working in AS9100 environments

Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

Must meet ITAR requirements and qualify as a U.S. Person
