Description
We are seeking an entry level Heavy Equipment Surface Prepper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a beginning background in vehicle body repair, with some experience in various techniques including Sanding, Grinding, and airless paint spraying. You will be responsible for restoring vehicles and heavy equipment such as large trucks, and generators, to like new condition in our state of the art body/paint shop with the guidance of an experienced technician. Pay will vary depending on experience & skill level.
Responsibilities
- Perform prep work including sanding and body repairs on equipment damaged due to accidents or wear.
- Utilize power tools and equipment to repair and restore equipment structures.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to assess damage and determine necessary repairs.
- Execute buffing and detailing processes to enhance the appearance of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Auto Body repair or similar schooling preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to learn.
- Some proficiency in using power tools and equipment related to auto body repair.
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying methods is a plus.
- Ability to learn to perform welding tasks as needed for structural repairs is plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
