TITLE: Hotel Senior Sales Manager (Dual Property)
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Sales Manager for a dual-branded, upscale hotel complex in North Austin featuring flexible meeting and event space. Reporting to the Complex Director of Sales, the Senior Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize revenue across both hotels.
This role focuses on proactive new business development, acquiring and growing corporate and group accounts, maintaining existing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences. The Senior Sales Manager also mentors junior sales team members and contributes to achieving overall business objectives for both properties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and occupancy targets for both hotels.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, group, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), government, and travel segments.
· Represent and sell both hotels of the complex, matching each property to the client's needs.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and key stakeholders.
· Conduct outside sales calls, prospecting outreach, client meetings, hotel presentations, virtual presentations, and site inspections.
· Respond promptly to inbound group and meetings leads; qualify opportunities and convert them through follow-up, tours, and relationship building.
· Negotiate contracts, rates, meeting packages, and service agreements, including standard group terms such as room blocks, attrition, cut-off dates, deposits, and food & beverage minimums.
· Evaluate opportunities on total revenue: guestrooms, meeting room rental, catering, and ancillary spend.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
· Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, pipeline reports, and performance reports for management.
· Maintain accurate and timely records in the hotel sales CRM and sales reporting tools.
· Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Finance to optimize sales strategies and deliver seamless group experiences.
· Represent the hotels at local networking events and business functions, and host familiarization (FAM) trips and client appreciation events as assigned.
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction before, during, and after events or bookings, driving retention and repeat business.
· Lead, coach, and support junior sales team members to improve performance.
· Support the Director of Sales and represent the sales office as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· 5–8 years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory sales role; dual-property or complex experience a plus.
· Demonstrated success developing new accounts and growing existing ones.
· Knowledge of the Austin market preferred.
· Strong knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management fundamentals (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR), and hospitality sales.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including polished site inspections.
· Proficiency in hotel sales CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to build long-term client relationships and achieve sales targets.
· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Valid driver's license and ability to conduct regular outside sales calls and attend local networking events within the market.
