Serves as the lead fund development professional for the Milwaukee Public Schools Foundation (MPSF). ; Delivers leadership and support for all philanthropic efforts, manages the relationships with foundation donors and prospects, and supports all donor solicitation efforts. ; Provides comprehensive administrative support for MPSF, including oversight of the donor database and donor stewardship efforts, grants management, office duties, and special events. ; Participates as part of the strategic management team to chart the future of the Foundation.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $92,000 per year (12-month/260 work days)

The position requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, non-profit management or a related field.
; ; ;Experience Requirements:

Three - five years of experience in fundraising or business development is desired

A record of managing donor relations and gifts is required.

Previous experience in donor stewardship and familiarity with donor management software, accounting software and related systems are necessary.

Foundation or public sector experience is preferred.

Grant-writing and grants management is preferred.

Coordinates the development of individual and annual giving programs and communicates with all parties on a regular basis.

Cultivates relationships with investor-donors and funders and with organizations to develop additional revenue streams.

Writes and submits all MPSF grant proposals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Creates solicitations and year-round engagement strategies to retain current and attract new investor-donors.

Researches, identifies and creates strategies for all philanthropic opportunities, institutional investor-donors, potential major gift prospects, and alumni relations.

Establishes and implements investor-donor stewardship procedures based on industry evidence-based best practices.

Assists in the development and implementation of annual development plans with a focus on institutional partnerships, special projects, and capital support.
Administrative

Co-manages the Foundation's website and social media accounts.

Utilizes software and databases specific to the Foundation's work, documents procedures, and assists with data entry.

Serves as the liaison for all communications, training, monthly reporting, and other activities related to the management of funds for schools and district departments.

Coordinates meetings with MPS departments to discuss projects and to learn about potential events that can be shared with the community of investor-donors.

Partners with program/department staff to fulfill grant requirements related to data, outcomes and reporting. ; Ensures reporting requirements and proposal deadlines are met.

Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
