1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Staff Accountant will assist the Accounting
Manager in financial accounting and reporting both internally and directly to Germany.
2.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Work closely with Inventory Team as needed to resolve issues and reconcile
balances. Run inventory close within the ERP and create reports.
2. Handles all intercompany communication and reconciliations. Report and reconcile
all intercompany balances for EUA USA. Create reports and work with all affiliates to
confirm balances. Continually work to keep all intercompany A/R and A/P current
and resolves discrepancies.
3. Assist in the A/P function-inputting positive pay, vendor & customer setups, etc. as
needed
4. Preparation of required monthly journal entries
5. In conjunction with the month-end close process, prepare and analyze balance sheet
reconciliations and research reconciling items
6. Load of monthly and quarterly financial data from D365 ERP System into Tagetik
consolidation software
7. Assist in daily cash receipt and cash disbursement transactions in the general ledger
system
8. Review bank account reconciliations and submit for approval.
9. Assist in the annual audit and tax compliance process by providing supporting
documentation.
10. Assist in the documentation of accounting policies and procedures, including the
ability to recommend and implement process improvements.
11. Will participate in other special projects as required.
3.0 COMPETENCIES
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent work experience of 5+ years.
2. Experience with ERP systems, D365 a plus
3. Advanced Excel skills
4. Written and oral communication skills
5. Organizational Skills
6. Ability to multitask
4.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
None.
5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
6.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a largely sedentary role, however some filing is required. This would require the
ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
7.0 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, during
normal business hours. Hours of work may vary based on business needs.
8.0 TRAVEL
Less than 10%. Possible infrequent visits to other US locations
