Duties
- Assist lead drillers with setting up, rigging, and maintaining drilling equipment for horizontal drilling and other well operations
- Support the operation of pumps, pumping systems, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery used on construction sites or oil rigs
- Help troubleshoot mechanical issues with drilling equipment and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal performance
- Manage safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and adhering to OSHA standards at all times
- Aid in crew management by coordinating tasks, maintaining clear communication, and supporting team efforts during outdoor work activities
- Assist with rigging operations for pipe handling, tubing, and other materials necessary for drilling processes
- Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a secure work environment in outdoor settings, including oil & gas sites and construction zones
Requirements
- Prior experience working outdoors on construction sites or in oil & gas environments preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of pipeline installation, rigging techniques, and heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tankers
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
- Valid commercial truck driving license or experience operating commercial trucks preferred; familiarity with tanker operations is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed safety protocols including OSHA standards and proper PPE use
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions; comfortable lifting heavy materials as needed
- Basic understanding of horizontal drilling techniques and pumping systems is advantageous
