Job Overview
The Residential Director is responsible for the supervision and direction in a residential setting to Direct Support Professionals that provide direct care to individuals with Autism and intellectual disabilities receiving services in the program. This position is a level of management above the Direct Support Professionals. Residential Directors will report directly to the Managing Director, in support of and in conjunction with the COO, Executive Director and Human Resources Director. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and supervise the Direct Support Professionals working shift rotation 24 hours a day, seven days a week, around the clock and/or live-in staff. This position is non-exempt (salary) based and has a general work schedule of 8:30A to 4:30P.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities can include, but is not limited to:
● Oversee the Intake and Admission Process for Potential New Individuals
● Ensure the safety and well-being of the Individual is protected at all times and that the rights of the Individuals are observed at all times
● Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Individuals and homes
● Assist the Human Resources Director in ensuring staff compliance and training
● Interview prospective employees in conjunction with the HR Director
● Comply with requirements set forth under PA Department of Human Services, Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), PA Title 55, §6400 and §6100 regulations and standards
● Provide input to and monitor Individuals’ and household expenses
● Ability to understand and interpret policies and procedures and of their application at all times
● Oversee the coordination of services in the community homes to ensure active plans, health, safety and the development of personal goals for the Individuals residing in the Homes are being implemented
● Participate in identifying new homes for incoming/transfer Individuals; and the ensure the adherence to the §6400 & §6100 regulations
● Direct the coordination of services with other agencies, medical professionals, and the community at large
