Full-Time | Salary: $66,300 annually
Position Overview
Queens Centers for Progress (QCP) is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Residential Supervisor / QIDP to oversee the day-to-day operations of OPWDD-regulated residential programs.
This leadership role reports to the Area Coordinator and Residential Director and is ideal for a professional who is organized, compassionate, and committed to person-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in an OPWDD-regulated program
- Valid New York State Driver’s License (held for at least three years)
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong coordination and scheduling skills to ensure full staffing coverage, including holidays
- Ability to recruit, train, coach, and discipline staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership style that motivates staff and adapts to the evolving OPWDD environment
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily residential operations and supervise direct support staff
- Schedule and facilitate staff, clinical, management, and resident meetings
- Ensure individuals’ rights, health, safety, and personal outcomes are met in accordance with OPWDD guidelines
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to develop, monitor, and revise individualized treatment plans
- Promote independent living skills, community inclusion, and recreational programming
- Manage program and resident financial responsibilities
- Work a 40-hour schedule, including one weekend day, and remain available for off-hour emergencies
