Turbotec Products, a division of Mueller Industries, Inc., located in Newton, NC, is seeking a Shipping Associate to join our team.
This position is ideal for a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Shipping & Receiving Associate will play a key role in coordinating domestic and international shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring customer-specific shipping requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), packing lists, and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments and schedule carrier pickups.
- Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, and other transportation providers.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and logistics needs.
- Prepare and verify all shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Load and unload materials safely using warehouse equipment.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory management activities.
- Follow established procedures and customer-specific shipping requirements without deviation.
- Maintain organized shipping records, email correspondence, and documentation.
- Support domestic and international shipping operations.
International Shipping Experience Preferred
Turbotec regularly ships products throughout North America and overseas, including:
- Italy (largest international customer base)
- Mexico
- Canada
- Germany
Experience with international shipping documentation and customs paperwork is a plus.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
- Experience with FedEx, UPS, and freight carrier systems preferred.
- Sage ERP or inventory software experience is a plus.
- Forklift certification is a plus; training will be provided if needed.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following established processes.
