Trailways of New York, a prestigious and prominent family-owned intercity bus company established in 1926, is seeking dedicated Motor Coach Drivers based out the New York City Area. Driving assignments are based out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
As a Motor Coach Driver, you will provide excellent customer service while operating our buses on designated routes throughout New York State, into Montreal and Toronto in Canada and Detroit, Michigan.
The preferred candidate has:
- A strong commitment to safety, punctuality and professionalism while operating their vehicle.
- A passion for customer service and excellent communication skills.
- More than one year of experience driving a Motor Coach, School Bus (preferred) or commercial vehicle.
- A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License or Permit with an excellent driving record.
- Must be at least 24 years old
- An unrestricted Passenger endorsement. (ability to transport 16 passengers or more).
- A valid passport or enhanced driver's license for travel to Canada (preferred but not required).
- The ability to complete a 6-week training program that will require being away from home Monday-Friday.
- The ability to work a 5-or 6-day work week, (Full-Time) with open availability during those days must include nights, weekends, holidays and occasional overnight trips.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and DOT physical exam.
- The love of driving and the willingness to travel throughout New York State and to Montreal and Toronto, Canada.
