Position Summary
Black Knight Patrol is seeking experienced and highly professional Armed Executive Protection Agents for on call assignments supporting executives, VIPs, and other protected individuals.
This position requires a high level of discretion, professionalism, situational awareness, and sound judgment. Agents may be assigned to executive transportation, residential protection, business meetings, public appearances, special events, or other protective details. All assignments must be conducted with an emphasis on maintaining the safety, privacy, and confidentiality of the principal.
Candidates must have prior professional executive protection experience and formal executive protection training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide discreet armed protection for executives, VIPs, and other designated principals
- Maintain constant situational awareness and identify potential threats or security concerns
- Conduct advance assessments of locations, routes, entrances, exits, parking areas, and other relevant environments when required
- Provide secure transportation and protective driving when assigned
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the principal's identity, schedule, residence, business activities, family, travel, and other sensitive information
- Coordinate professionally with executive assistants, corporate staff, event personnel, law enforcement, security teams, and other stakeholders
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for corporate and executive environments
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, threats, suspicious activity, or changes in the security environment
- Maintain assigned weapons and equipment in a safe and professional manner
- Complete reports and documentation following incidents or assignments when required
- Follow all Black Knight Patrol policies, post orders, client instructions, and applicable laws and regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess all of the following:
- Current California BSIS Guard Card
- Current California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
- Current valid CCW permit that allows the candidate to carry the required firearm while performing assigned duties without restrictions that would prevent performance of the position
- Previous professional executive protection experience
- Successful completion of a recognized Executive Protection training course or academy with documentation or certification
- Valid California Driver License
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high pressure situations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a protective team
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Corporate executive protection
- Protective intelligence and threat assessment
- Advance work and route planning
- Protective and defensive driving
- Residential security
- VIP and celebrity protection
- Law enforcement, military, or specialized security operations
- Emergency medical or first aid training
Availability Requirements
This is an on call position. Assignments may become available with limited advance notice and may include days, evenings, overnight hours, weekends, holidays, travel, and extended assignments.
Candidates should have flexibility in their schedules and the ability to respond promptly when contacted regarding an assignment.
Confidentiality and Professional Standards
Confidentiality is a critical requirement of this position. Executive Protection Agents may have access to sensitive information regarding clients, executives, families, residences, schedules, travel plans, business operations, and personal activities.
Agents are expected to maintain strict confidentiality before, during, and after every assignment. Unauthorized disclosure of client information, photographs, locations, schedules, conversations, or other protected information is prohibited.
Successful candidates must demonstrate maturity, discretion, professionalism, good judgment, and an understanding that effective executive protection is often conducted without drawing unnecessary attention to the principal or the protective team.
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour
