Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve food items with attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards.
- Manage customer orders from start to finish, including processing cash transactions and handling credit card payments securely.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies regularly.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation activities.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed diligently, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Assist with retail sales transactions when applicable, supporting overall restaurant operations.
- Support team members in serving guests promptly during busy periods to ensure quick service times.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, handling cash transactions, and operating kitchen equipment.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash register operations.
- Experience in food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Knowledge of restaurant or café environments is a plus; however, enthusiasm for learning is equally valued.
