Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including transmissions, powertrain components, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering systems.
- Service and repair diesel engines, air brake systems, and heavy equipment as needed.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs and auto body work.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical problems.
- Ensure all repairs meet dealership standards and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred along with familiarity working on GM vehicles or similar brands.
- Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), welding techniques, and auto estimating is advantageous.
- Skilled in using schematics, power tools, hand tools, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, auto electrical systems, and auto body repair.
- Certifications in diesel engine repair, heavy equipment mechanics or related fields are a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
