Riverside University Health System (RUHS) is recruiting an Intern Pharmacist with the Medical Center, located in Moreno Valley, CA. Under the close supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, incumbents assist in the preparation, manufacture, and dispensing of drugs; receive supervised professional experience in a pharmacy; and perform other related duties as required.
An Intern Pharmacist is registered by the Board of Pharmacy of the State of California to participate in a program of professional training and experience in a hospital pharmacy leading to professional licensure. This is a great opportunity to gain experience within a large county-health system medical- center, first and second year students are encouraged to apply.
Position Specifics:
10 hour-shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours per two-week pay period, must work at least one-two weekend days per pay period.
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs frequently, stand up to 50% of a shiftz, walk up to 40% and sit 10%.
A BLS issued by the American Heart Association will be required within 30 days of hire.
Per Diem personnel are distinguished from regular employees in that they receive a flat rate of higher pay in lieu of County fringe benefits and work assignments may be on a flexible work hour schedule or on an as-needed basis.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Assist in compounding prescriptions and special orders of physicians and dentists.

Assist in compounding and manufacturing drugs and pharmaceutical preparations.

Assist in dispensing drugs and pharmaceutical preparations within in-patient, out-patient and clinic pharmacy settings.

Maintain records pertaining to drugs and pharmaceuticals compounded, manufactured, and dispensed.
