American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department assignment in Manhattan, KS, requiring AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with at least 2 years of ED experience.

18-bed Emergency Department serving a rural, mixed patient population including pediatric, geriatric, college students, military personnel, and mental health patients

Located near Kansas State University and Fort Riley Army Base
-
Patient ratio of 1:4, with call requirements that fluctuate based on acuity and department volume

Physician on staff 24/7 with mid-level provider coverage during peak hours

Charts using Meditech EMR
-
Night shift schedule: 18:00–06:30

13-week assignment
-
Active KS RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)

TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)

NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience

US Social Security Number and a valid US home address required

Driver's license required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary patient care, executing physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs

CPI/MOAB High-Risk training is required: the online portion (CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills or MOAB De-Escalation Course) must be completed prior to start, and the on-site physical confrontations portion is completed during orientation
