Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables swiftly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless experience.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables accurately and promptly, supporting the serving staff with timely service.
- Assist with food handling tasks such as setting up dishes, refilling condiments, and organizing utensils to enhance efficiency.
- Support the kitchen team by performing light food preparation tasks when needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage bussing duties including heavy lifting of trays and dishware using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including clearing debris and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
- Communicate effectively with team members using clear verbal cues and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and safe lifting practices consistently throughout shifts.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate smoothly with kitchen staff, servers, and guests.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; familiarity with banquet or hotel service is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations including bussing, serving, and food preparation.
- Demonstrated commitment to guest services and hospitality standards in fast-paced settings.
