As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. This is not a general office position—we are looking for an accounting professional with a strong financial background who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing data, and supporting a growing multi-channel business.
This role provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic accounting environment that combines manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and vehicle sales. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to maintaining accurate financial records while helping improve accounting processes as our company continues to expand.
Position Details
- Full-time (40 hours per week)
- On-site position in Van Wert, Ohio
- Competitive pay based on qualifications and experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Record and reconcile bank deposits
- Reconcile payment processor deposits and e-commerce transactions
- Record and reconcile online sales
- Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end close
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
- Process vehicle title paperwork accurately and in compliance with Ohio requirements
- Coordinate title transfers and registration documentation
- Obtain and maintain an Ohio Notary Public commission (or currently hold an active commission)
- Notarize documents as required
- Support ongoing improvements to accounting and business processes
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Experience with e-commerce accounting, online payment processors, inventory accounting, or retail accounting is highly preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and Google Sheets
- Experience processing vehicle titles preferred
- Current Ohio Notary Public commission preferred, or willingness to obtain one after hire
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
