Job Description:
We are seeking dependable individuals to work at our client’s landfill facility in Westminster, MA 01473. This is a temporary assignment focused on litter picking, yard work, general labor, and site maintenance.
Work is primarily outdoors, so applicants must be prepared to perform physical labor in varying weather and site conditions.
Shift: 1st Shift — Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30 pm
This job requires you to have your own reliable transportation to get to work every day.
PPE Required: 6-inch steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, gloves, and eye protection.
Job Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Pick up litter and assist with general yard and site cleanup.
- Lift and move materials.
- Load and unload vehicles.
- Dig and refill holes.
- Mow grass and perform trimming and grounds maintenance.
- Operate basic equipment as needed.
- Assist with other general labor and site maintenance tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 30 pounds throughout the workday.
- Must be comfortable working around dirt, odors, noise, and other conditions associated with a landfill environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous general labor, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or outdoor work experience is a plus but not required.
- Must follow all site safety procedures and requirements.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor manual labor position requiring consistent physical activity.
- Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and similar environmental conditions.
- Occasional exposure to occupational hazards associated with an active worksite.
- Occasional operation of equipment requiring hand and finger coordination.
