Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals to increase revenue and market share
- Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting efforts to build a high-performing team
- Manage daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment
- Oversee customer service standards ensuring a positive shopping experience for all clients
- Handle payroll, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and bookkeeping tasks accurately and efficiently
- Supervise shift management, scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Utilize marketing techniques and retail math to optimize sales opportunities and improve store profitability
- Manage inventory control processes including purchasing, stock rotation, and shrink reduction strategies
- Provide leadership in training & development initiatives to enhance team skills in retail sales, merchandising, and customer engagement
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail sales or store management with a focus on team supervision and leadership roles
- Strong background in negotiation, customer service, and employee orientation practices
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting performance evaluations
- Skilled in retail math, pricing strategies, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability in marketing initiatives, merchandising techniques, and promotional planning
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in organizational skills and time management
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a grocery store or retail environment is highly desirable
