Beacon Veterinary Hospital is looking for a motivated, compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are a state-of-the-art, full-service hospital located just steps from the beautiful Mandeville lakefront.
Our assistants are a key part of our medical team, helping ensure smooth workflow and excellent patient care. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, loves animals, and takes pride in being detail-oriented and reliable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
- Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized hospital
- Support with lab work, radiographs, and basic nursing care (as trained)
- Fill medications and assist with inventory
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
Qualifications:
- Experience in a veterinary clinic preferred, but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments
