Position Overview
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the disease process of addiction and various therapeutic approaches. This role supports clients in developing recovery skills, increasing motivation for change, and improving overall functioning through evidence-based and person-centered approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct substance use assessments, provide accurate diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, and monitor client progress
- Facilitate group counseling sessions/individual counseling sessions
- Provide education on substance use, relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery supports
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate client care with referral sources as appropriate
- Participate in supervision, case staffings, and team meetings with community organizations
- Support clients in identifying recovery supports and community resources
- Collect urine screens for drug testing and follow appropriate chain of custody protocol for lab confirmation
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards
- Qualifications
- Minimum of associate's degree in social/behavioral sciences required, bachelor's preferred
- CADC preferred or eligibility to obtain certification within 2 years of hire.
- Experience in the substance use or social services field preferred

- Ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds

- Solid time management and organizational skills .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to pass criminal background check is required
- Valid Driver's license is required
- Ability to maintain required continuing education for certification
- Flexible work schedule.
