Senior People Analytics Specialist (Contract)
Pay: $60-$65/hour
Job Type: 9-month contract with potential for full-time conversion
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days onsite (Tuesday-Thursday) with flexibility after training
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility available)
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical Senior People Analytics Specialist to support workforce reporting, executive dashboards, and HR analytics initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, delivering meaningful insights, and building reporting solutions that support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze workforce data, including hiring, attrition, headcount, diversity, education, and succession planning metrics.

Develop, maintain, and distribute executive dashboards, scorecards, and reports for senior leadership.

Query, validate, manipulate, and reconcile large datasets using Excel, SQL, and reporting tools.

Support regulatory, annual, and ad hoc reporting requirements.

Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting processes.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

3+ years of analytics or reporting experience.

Valid driver's license.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

Pivot Tables
-
VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

INDEX/MATCH
-
Advanced formulas
-
Data validation and manipulation

Working with large datasets

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience creating reports and dashboards.

Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with HR or People Analytics.

Workforce or regulatory reporting experience.

Executive dashboard development.

SQL (preferred).

Power BI (preferred).
-
Tableau or Oracle Analytics Cloud experience is transferable.

Python is a strong plus.
Candidates with exceptional Excel skills and strong analytical abilities will be considered even if they have limited experience with SQL or Power BI.
Interview Process
Qualified candidates will complete a 90-minute technical interview that includes:
