Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Vehicle Upfit Installer, where you'll play a vital role in transforming standard vehicles into customized, purpose-built solutions for our clients. This position is responsible for professionally installing aftermarket accessories on vehicles, ensuring proper fitment, function, and safety. This position personalizes and installs automotive accessories and aftermarket equipment for our clients, in accordance with manufacturer and our company’s shop quality specifications and time standards. This individual would work a 5-day workweek made up of 5 weekdays, and having the weekends off!
Duties
- Install accessories on clients’s vehicles ensuring quality and top-notch workmanship.
- This position will work with a variety of accessories, including lift and lowering kits, running boards, step bars, toppers, remote starters, brush guard or bull bar, window film, lift gates, emergency lighting, trailer hitches and wiring, tonneau covers, exhaust systems, specific accessory related lighting/wiring, and more.
- Communicating updates with Guests as required during installation process.
- Reading and interpreting installation manuals, using tools and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing quality control checks.
- Bring vehicles to Guests and demonstrate how to use their new products and their features.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and regulations and ensuring all installations are performed correctly and safely.
- Diagnose and resolve installation issues.
- Ensure precise and professional installations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive service or mechanical systems repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Experience working with schematics, mechanical repair procedures, and automotive electrical systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance, power tools usage, and manual handling practices.
- Prior experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) activities preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for precise installations.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy parts or equipment safely.

It is likely new employees may not immediately know how to do everything we offer. We have specialized and knowledgeable teaching staff. However, technicians will be required to learn, read and understand instructions independently and be driven to give the customer the cleanest installation possible in a timely manner. Creativity is a must. Automotive experience is required . Previous dealership experience. Previous body shop experience. Previous detail shop.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
