American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CCU) position at a Level III Trauma facility in Minnesota, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience and an active MN RN license.

Acute care hospital setting with a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CCU)
-
Approximately 50% cardiac patient population; additional critical care cases include ventilated and hemodynamically monitored patients
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3–5 in the CCU
-
Procedures include responding to code blue calls, managing arterial lines, ventilators, BiPAPs, and cardiac monitoring, as well as ventilator weaning and extubation

Epic EMR is used in this unit; experience is strongly preferred
-
Pyxis medication dispensing system utilized on the unit
-
12-hour shifts with varied scheduling, including every 3rd weekend
-
Floating required to Telemetry and possibly the Emergency Department

Active MN RN license required at time of consideration

Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required; no pending certifications accepted

TNCC highly preferred

Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience required; 2–3 years preferred

Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required

Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Willingness to float to other critical care units, including Telemetry and the ED

Two current professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, arterial line care, BiPAP management, and responding to code blue calls

Orientation is 12–24 hours and will be adjusted based on individual needs

Navy scrubs are required as the unit dress code

Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their application date

Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate adjustment
-
All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
