Job Summary
CNC Machinist- Mill Set Up/Operator – Direct Hire
Indianapolis, IN (Just east of downtown)
Pay: up to 40/hr DOE + 15% Shift Differential
2nd and 3rd shifts available (5-8 hr shifts or 4-10 hr shifts)
We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists for a large precision manufacturing company specializing in complex, low-volume machining. This is a great opportunity for machinists who enjoy challenging work rather than repetitive production.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate large CNC mills and/or vertical turning centers
- Make offsets, tooling adjustments, and machine edits
- Read blueprints and GD&T requirements
- Perform inspections using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain quality standards
Ideal Background:
- CNC Mill setup experience required
- 5 axis (set up/operate)
- Large-part machining experience preferred
- Job shop / low-volume machining background preferred
- Experience with mills, VTLs, or large CNC equipment
- Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
Equipment / Controls:
Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, Mazatrol, Okuma, or similar controls is a plus.
