Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Team Leader to oversee and coordinate the assembly of motor vehicle climate control parts on our production line. We are a Tier-1 supplier for KIA Motors Manufacturing Georgia and Hyundai Motor Group. This role is vital in ensuring that vehicle components are assembled efficiently, accurately, and safely, while leading a team of technicians. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for manufacturing excellence. Duties
- Lead and oversee a team of assembly technicians to ensure timely and precise assembly processes that meets daily production goals
- Monitor product quality work standards to guide assembly procedures that meet and/or exceed the company quality standards while reducing and/or eliminating rework.
- Communicate operational changes to maintain production targets and track production performance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to support assembly tasks
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including proper use of machine safeguarding standards and tasks are being performed in the safest manner
- Train team members on assembly techniques, schematics interpretation, and the use of mechanical tools
- Troubleshoot general mechanical issues during assembly by applying mechanical knowledge and experience
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, quality inspections, inventory and safety compliance
- Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or vehicle assembly environments with hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience and assume leadership responsibilities assigned to the position.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years of manufacturing/production/assembly experience--at least one year of production leadership experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of reading and understanding product specifications, schematics, and drawings
- Proficiency with welding, machining, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- General knowledge of mechanical systems related to motor vehicle parts and assembly processes
- Ability to proactively transition production process and to use good judgment
- Ability to accurately complete daily inventory reports and implement production run plans
- Proficiency with reading and implementing production run plans. Team player and possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, address issues, and guide a team effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
