Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certified in Education or working towards Teaching certification
- Previous experience a plus
- Must agree to and sign our Statement of Faith
Job Description:
- Teacher will provide classroom instruction in one or more of the following Grades: PreK-8th grade.
- Integrate Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curricula, striving to be an example of these same principles to students, families, and staff.
- Be proficient in computer skills, using various forms of technology to post grades, communicate with parents and aid in instruction.
- Must also have a willingness and ability to assist in total school program and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain clear, open and professional communication with parents, colleagues, and administration.
- To work with the administration to keep parents adequately informed of student discipline.
- Maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, good taste and in agreement with school policy.
- Must have knowledge of teaching strategies and methods. Must be willing to learn new teaching strategies and methods.
- Must be able to work extended hours on occasion.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is based on education and experience. This is a full-time position that carries the expectation of a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Benefits include 10 paid sick days per year (accumulates to maximum of 30 days). Health insurance is partially paid by the school, options for dental and vision insurance.
Other benefits such as personal days, vacation, and tuition assistance for children at the Academy, are negotiable during the hiring process.
