Responsibilities
-
Support and drive quality initiatives to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Perform product inspections and verify components against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

Conduct root cause investigations for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving processes, and increasing operational efficiency.

Perform internal quality audits and assist with maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer quality requirements.

Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and customer teams to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.

Review blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing documentation to ensure product conformance.

Utilize precision measuring equipment and inspection tools, including CMMs and/or laser scanning equipment when applicable.

Support customer and supplier quality activities, including investigations, documentation, and corrective actions.

Assist the Quality Manager with daily quality operations and serve as the primary quality resource for one manufacturing facility.
Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.

Experience within a foundry, metal casting, machining, tooling, automotive, fabrication, or other precision manufacturing environment preferred.

Working knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949.

Experience performing inspections using precision measuring equipment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and product specifications.
