Job Summary
Mountainview Builders Supply is hiring a full-time Garage Door Installer for installing garage doors and openers in new residential construction, as well as performing service repairs and full replacements on existing homes. We are looking for a dependable, skilled individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and provides excellent service to homeowners and contractors. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of construction skills, and contribute to the safety and functionality of residential and commercial properties. Duties
- Install new garage doors and openers, including framing, door hanging, and fixture installation using hand tools and power tools
- Perform service calls including repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting
- Complete removal and replacement of existing garage doors
- Measure openings and ensure proper fit and operation
- Load, transport, and maintain tools and materials
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, and team members
- Complete required job documentation accurately and timely
Requirements
- Proven experience with construction site work, carpentry, or remodeling projects involving door installation
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to garage door systems and hardware components
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in remodeling environments preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and alignment tasks
- Dependable, self-motivate, and detail-oriented
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
