Focus: Novel materials synthesis for electrode functionalization, salt water electrolysis, and high-throughput electrochemical characterization, with a particular emphasis on expanding the utilization of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM).
Research Areas
· Development and utilization of SECM-based methods for high-throughput electrochemical studies
· Local electrochemical characterization of activity, selectivity, transport, corrosion, and degradation mechanisms
· Synthesis of PGM-free materials for electrode modification and interface engineering
Responsibilities
· Lead research projects on electrochemical materials and functionalized electrolyzers.
· Develop, optimize, and apply SECM methods to study electrochemical interfaces and materials libraries
· Explore new applications of SECM for electrolysis, corrosion, and ion transport, materials screening.
· Mentor undergraduate students
· Prepare manuscripts, present research findings, and assist with proposal development
Qualifications
Applicants should have a B.S., or M.S. in materials science, electrochemistry, or related field.
Pay: $15,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year
