Hiring Range: $79,058.00 - $120,133.00
Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Summer Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The Maintenance and Operations Administrator is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Environmental & Street Services in planning and directing maintenance and administrative activities. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive and continuing education/training programs, including developing standards/guidelines for new and seasoned employees. Such programs will ensure proper training on and use of all equipment; ensure safety education and practices; reduce infractions; provide supervisory training, guidance as well as any other areas that need to be addressed.
The work will include monitoring and assessing work to determine deficiencies within the Maintenance division which may need to be addressed and appropriate action taken. Decision-making includes providing input into management objectives, establishing work goals and objectives of a unit to carry out management direction, assist in the procurement processes, reviewing and implementing operational policies and procedures, assist in managing budgets and expenditures, and selecting the method to address a problem or issue, subject to the constraints established by management objectives and direction. As assigned, work may include developing and implementing work plans; managing and tracking metrics; completing major initiatives; coordinating projects; coordinating resources and staff; and ensuring safety policies and procedures are implemented.
