Job Title:Floating - Bank Teller/CSR
Employment Classification Non-exempt
Report To: Head Teller
JOB SUMMARY: Provide excellent customer service to bank customers by processing financial transactions, providing information about existing products and services, and referring customers to the appropriate bank department. Provides customer service to customers in person and via the telephone regarding all upcoming events, special promotions and products and services offered.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
35% Performs a variety of teller transactions including, but not limited to; cashing checks by verifying endorsement, receiving proper identification, and ensuring validity; receiving checking and savings deposits; processing loan and Escrow payments; processing withdrawals, and completing Hold Notices.
25% Cross-Serving bank products and services. Maintains up to date knowledge of all bank products and asks supervisor if unsure of a product. Listens to customer to determine banking needs and makes suggestions for appropriate product. Actively participates in the Bank’s referral program.
5% Answers basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, services charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
5% Opens and processes new accounts to include checking, savings, CD’s and IRA’s. Is knowledgeable in loan products. Ensures all information is collected and forwards to the Branch Manager for review.
5% Identifies counterfeit currency and reports to Manager immediately.
5% Resolves routine customer problems and refers more complex issues to the appropriate person.
5% Issues personal money orders and cashier’s checks, redeems and issues U.S. Savings Bonds, processes cash advances.
5% Buys and sells currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
5% Balances and updates savings passbooks, closes accounts when requested, and reactivates and/or closes dormant checking and savings accounts.

Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer and vault at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen. Maintains appropriate currency logs.
Adheres to all bank policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Position of the Bank Teller/CSR does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Possession of a High School Diploma is required. One-year previous cash handling experience in a customer service financial institution setting is preferred. Previous experience in sales is preferred.
Excellent communication to include phone etiquette combined with customer service skills are necessary for success in the position.
Must have the ability to interact and be a team player within the bank as well as manage multiple priorities and multi task.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES AND SOFTWARE USED:
Basic Equipment and Machinery: Ability to utilize a computer, printer, copier, facsimile machine, telephone, and calculator.
Computer Software: Ability to utilize word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software and Adobe Acrobat
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this position, the Bank Teller is regularly required to, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
The physical requirements of this position call for the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. May be required to fill in at other branch offices when necessary.
Moderate mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with money and analyzing figures using a computer terminal. Mental and visual attentionrequired for performing work where there is some variety but actions taken and decisions made are limited to few possibilities.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
