Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) Clinician to join our behavioral health services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, with expertise in providing evidence-based therapies and crisis intervention within outpatient settings. As an IOP Clinician, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health care, supporting clients through individualized treatment plans, and fostering recovery and resilience. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote positive outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and regulatory standards.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement evidence-based interventions including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care for PTSD, addiction counseling, and grief counseling.
- Facilitate crisis management and intervention strategies to ensure patient safety and stability during acute episodes.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/10).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and optimize patient care outcomes.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance treatment efficacy.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver services remotely while adhering to confidentiality protocols and best practices in virtual care environments.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field; licensure or certification as required by state regulations.
- Proven experience working in outpatient mental health settings with children, adolescents, or adults; inpatient experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), medical terminology, and electronic health record systems.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work case management.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is preferred.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote patient care effectively.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma, PTSD care, grief, chronic pain counseling, or gender issues counseling with professionalism and empathy.
