Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning sinks, countertops, floors, and storage areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables and organizing supplies to support culinary staff
- Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health regulations and safety standards
- Manage waste disposal and recycling processes in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely turnover of dishes during busy service hours
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations, including food handling and sanitation practices
- Experience with bussing tables or supporting food preparation tasks is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
