Quality Engineer
Location: Tualatin, OR
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Note: The plant is scheduled to close. This contract is currently expected to run through the end of the year, but the duration may change.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team, focusing on incoming inspection processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials and components meet our quality standards and specifications, contributing to the overall integrity and reliability of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming inspections of materials and components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, including non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.
- Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and guidelines for incoming inspection processes.
- Analyze inspection data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.
- Provide training and support on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to incoming inspection and quality control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience with a focus on incoming inspection in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and tools (Six Sigma, ISO standards).
- Proficient in using measurement tools and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards related to electrical or mechanical components.
