Performs mid-level work by supporting and enhancing the City of Leander's Active Adult Program located in the Senior Activity Center. This position involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of various programs, activities, and events tailored for citizens ages 55 years and above. Generally, this position uses moderately complex skills and works under close supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Ability to work hours other than the regular daytime schedule such as afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel items, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but occasionally loud.
