Little Red Wagon Pediatric Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This is an on-site, part-time position (10–15 hours per week) in Fort Worth, TX.
Our AI-powered EMR streamlines much of the claims submission process, allowing this role to focus primarily on insurance follow-up, accounts receivable, and resolving billing issues to help ensure timely reimbursement. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, is highly organized, and takes pride in seeing claims through to resolution.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and follow up on denied, unpaid, and outstanding insurance claims
- Work insurance accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues
- Post and reconcile payments as needed
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
- Collaborate with the administrative team to support efficient revenue cycle processes
- Perform other billing-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Medical billing experience required
- Experience with pediatric speech, occupational, and/or physical therapy billing is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicaid, and insurance follow-up
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
- Experience with therapy EMR software is a plus
