Experienced residential HVAC tech? Our technicians average $45–$55/hour effective ($90K–$115K+ annually) — and unlike most shops, we'll show you the full written pay plan, line by line, in your first interview.
Who We Are
Advanced Air Conditioning + Heating is a locally owned, NATE-certified HVAC company serving Cedar Park, Leander, Georgetown, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and the greater Austin metro (TACLA77365E). We've earned a 4.9-star reputation by doing things right — honest diagnostics, quality repairs, and real options for customers instead of pressure. We're a small, tight-knit team, and we're intentional about who we add to it.
How the Pay Actually Works
This is performance-based pay with real, published numbers — not a mystery formula:
-
20% commission on repairs you sell and complete — capacitors, motors, boards, thermostats, and everything in between
-
3% commission on full system replacements you turn over to our Comfort Advisors — they close it, you still get paid
-
Flat rate on the service items commissions don't cover — maintenance visits, warranty work, training, meetings, etc.
-
Service-call fees stack with commission — you earn the diagnostic fee and the repair commission on the same visit
-
Overtime calculated on your full earnings — commissions and spiffs included in the rate, not just base pay (RROP)
-
PTO paid at your average effective rate — if you earn like a $50/hr tech, your time off pays like it too
Our experienced techs average $45–$55/hr effective. Skilled techs who communicate well with customers win under this plan — that's exactly who it was built for.
Why Techs Move Here
-
No pressure selling. We present good/better/best options honestly. Your commission comes from doing right by customers, not squeezing them.
-
A team that has your back. Small crew, experienced dispatchers, an office that actually communicates with customers so you're not fielding angry calls in a 110° attic.
