Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room (ER) for a high-acuity travel assignment in Lubbock, Texas.
This role supports a fast-paced emergency department in a Level II Trauma Center, treating a wide range of patient conditions including trauma, stroke, STEMI, respiratory distress, and general emergency presentations. The ideal candidate is confident in high-acuity environments and experienced with rapid patient assessment and intervention.
Compensation:
36 Hours: Gross $2,029/week | W2 $21.75/hr | Stipend $1,246/week
Schedule:
- Night shift, 3x12
- Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Self-scheduling available
- 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule block
Unit Details:
- Emergency Department (ER)
- Level II Trauma Center
- Stroke Certified Facility
- Patient ratio: 1:3
- Daily census approximately 136 patients
- 42 treatment rooms / 46 beds
- EMR: Epic
- Supports adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity ER setting
- Perform rapid patient assessment, triage, and intervention
- Manage ventilated patients and respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP)
- Administer IV therapies including vasopressors
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including respiratory, pharmacy, and radiology
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
