Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Hygiene Coordinator/Assistant to manage all aspects of hygiene patient care and scheduling in our dental practice. This role is essential for ensuring the efficiency of our hygiene department, enhancing patient satisfaction, and maintaining adherence to hygiene treatment protocols. This team member must have excellent communication skills, be detailed oriented, and have an upbeat and positive personality to best fit our small dental team. EagleSoft software experience is a plus. One year experience in the dental field would be helpful, but not necessary.
Front Desk/Coordinator Duties
- Coordinate, integrate and represent all facets of all hygiene patients.
- Greet patients and make them feel welcomed and relaxed.
- Go over treatment plans and financing.
- Manage and control the daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene schedule in order to meet the practice production and collection goals.
- Handle front desk responsibilities such as multi-line phone systems, patient greeting, and phone etiquette.
- Can accept constructive criticism.
- Has a desire and ability to work well with the team.
- Able to quickly grasp relevant concepts regarding duties and responsibilities.
- Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks.
- Perform other clerical duties such as faxing, scanning, and office management tasks to support clinic operations.
Dental Hygiene Duties
- Assist with patient intake, Manage and optimize hygiene appointment scheduling to maximize patient flow.
- Taking X-rays, Sterilization of instruments and rooms, Set-up/breakdown rooms.
- Updating patient medical history.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality standards during all duties.
Dental Qualifications
- Radiology License is required.
- Excellent communication and organizations skills.
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail.
- Self-motivation and initiative to drive patient engagement.
