We specialize in emergency water mitigation, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, asbestos abatement coordination, contents restoration, insurance reconstruction, and residential remodeling.
As one of the fastest-growing restoration companies in Idaho, we are looking for an experienced Repair Project Manager to help lead our rapidly expanding reconstruction division.
This is not an entry-level construction position.
We are looking for an experienced restoration professional who understands insurance reconstruction, project management, customer service, budgeting, profitability, and leadership. This position is designed for someone looking to build a long-term career and grow into senior leadership as our company continues to expand.
If you have not worked in the restoration industry, this position is not for you.

- This is not a remote position.
Buk Restoration operates a 24/7 emergency response service. Depending on workload and emergency events, evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call responsibilities may be required.
As a growing restoration company, every team member is expected to be an "all hands on deck" employee during catastrophic events and periods of high demand.
Position Overview
The primary focus of this position is managing insurance-related water damage reconstruction projects and out-of-pocket residential remodeling projects from approved scope through final completion.
Buk Restoration currently has a dedicated Fire Repair Project Manager. However, during periods of increased workload or project overflow, fire reconstruction projects may also be assigned to this position. Applicants should be comfortable managing fire restoration projects when needed.
The Repair Project Manager is responsible for overseeing every aspect of a reconstruction project following mitigation, including customer communication, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, insurance coordination, collections, and project profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing approximately 5–30 active reconstruction projects at various stages of completion.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage multiple active reconstruction projects simultaneously
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, permits, inspections, and material deliveries
- Maintain daily communication with every active customer
- Meet with homeowners, adjusters, and referral partners
- Obtain repair approvals and coordinate insurance claim progress
- Manage change orders and identify supplement opportunities
- Perform quality control inspections throughout each project
- Conduct final walkthroughs with homeowners
- Collect required deposits before work begins
- Collect final payments upon project completion
- Maintain accurate job documentation, photographs, notes, and project records
- Generate positive Google Reviews through exceptional customer service
Financial & Profitability Expectations
This is a performance-driven management position.
The successful candidate must understand that project management is about more than completing construction—it is about operating profitable projects while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
You will be expected to:
- Meet or exceed company-established gross profit margin goals
- Manage every project within approved budgets
- Monitor job costs throughout construction
- Allocate budgets appropriately across labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Identify cost overruns early
- Protect company profitability while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction
- Communicate budget concerns to management immediately
Xactimate & Budget Management
Our Estimating Department prepares all Xactimate estimates.
You will not be responsible for writing estimates.
However, you must have extensive experience reading, interpreting, and managing projects from approved Xactimate estimates.
Applicants should be able to:
- Read and interpret Xactimate estimates
- Understand insurance scopes of work
- Manage approved project budgets
- Allocate budgets effectively
- Identify supplement opportunities
- Coordinate estimate revisions with the Estimating Department
- Successfully manage profitable reconstruction projects from approved scopes
Required Experience
Applicants must possess 2–5+ years of professional restoration experience.
Experience must include:
- Water damage reconstruction
- Out-of-pocket residential remodeling
- Fire damage reconstruction
- Mold remediation
- Asbestos-related reconstruction
- Contents restoration coordination
- Insurance claim management
- Working directly with insurance adjusters
- Repair approval process
- Understanding deductibles and insurance claim procedures
- Reading Xactimate estimates
- Budget allocation
- Profitability management
- Managing subcontractors
- Managing multiple active projects simultaneously
Applicants without restoration industry experience will not be considered.
Training
The selected candidate will complete approximately 90 days of training alongside our Mitigation Project Manager.

- Pass a criminal background check
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Maintain a valid driver's license
- Maintain a clean driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Have no felony convictions that would interfere with the responsibilities of this position
- Provide five professional references
- Provide five personal references
- Maintain a clean-cut, professional appearance appropriate for in-home customer service
- Sign all onboarding documentation, including confidentiality and employment agreements
- Comply with the Buk Restoration Employee Handbook, Employment Agreement, and all company policies
