Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organization of hotel rooms and public places, managing housekeeping staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulation.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Manage and coordinate the activities of housekeeping personnel, ensuring they adhere to cleanliness and safety standards.
· Training and Development: Train new staff and provide ongoing training to existing employees to maintain high standards of service and efficiency.
· Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of linens, room supplies, cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages. Maintaining par levels.
· Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
· Guest Relations: Address guest complaints and special requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
· Budget Management: Assist in managing the housekeeping budget, ensuring that payroll and supply costs remain within budgetary constraints.
· Reporting: Prepare reports for management regarding housekeeping operations, staff performance, and inventory levels.
· Employee Relations: Partners with HR for any issues pertaining to staff including disciplinary actions and related issues.
· Payroll: Is responsible to maintain accurate payroll records, edit timecards appropriately and submit payroll completion according to timeframes given.

Guest Experience & Service Standards
· Respond quickly to client questions.
· Ensure through a thorough inspection process that rooms and public areas are continually up to standards.

Project Oversight
- Serve as project manager or project support on assigned improvement initiatives, coordinating timelines, vendors, workforce, and safety compliance.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements, equipment conditions, and life-safety system readiness.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Responsible for adherence to with departmental budget, expense controls, operational purchasing, and inventory control and standards.
- Ensure vendor services, contracts, and procurement align with organizational guidelines.
- Review operational KPIs and partner with managers on continuous improvement planning.
- Maintain documentation related to inspections, compliance, work orders, staffing, and operational reporting.
- Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of hotel or resort operations leadership experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to move throughout the property including stairs, beaches, pool decks, and mechanical areas.
- 5+ years prior experience as a housekeeper.
- Competent in written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to handle pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
- Experience in Laundry operation and OSHA safety standards.
- Experienced with basic computer skills and operating systems.
- Strong communication, decision-making, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including weekends and holidays.
